Rocky

Rocky is a 8 month old terrier mix. He was abandoned at a rural shelter, who then reached out to us for help. How could we turn our backs, Rocky deserved a chance!

Rocky was born with severe front limb deformities. He is dealing with his life challenges like a champ not letting his disability slow him down. He has been seen by veterinarian and orthopedic specialist and both are in agreement that his front legs are not painful and are useful to him.

Rocky is currently being fostered by Trails End Pet Sitting getting lots of human and dog socialization that he never had. He plays with dogs of all sizes and loves playing tug! He is learning proper manners and house training. He is crate trained and very treat motivated. He has even learned “up” by balancing on his hind legs for a treat. We are very appreciative of their help helping Rocky be the best pup he can be!

Rocky will need to be carried at times when he is tired as he does tire more quickly than able-bodied dogs. He can go up and down stairs with supervision- it is an amazing sight to watch. He currently weighs 28 pounds. We do not believe he will weigh much more than 30 pounds full grown. Rocky is also a great travel companion; he LOVES going on car rides!
