Daisy

Meet Daisy!

Daisy is a 3-year-old, female, Sheltie/Husky mix, that was found by a good Samaritan after she and her canine friend were hit by a car. Unfortunately, her friend did not survive the accident, and Daisy was critically injured. She ended up on the euthanasia list at a busy inner-city shelter, with a timestamp of noon on 4/17/25. She needed to be out of the shelter and in the hands of a rescue that could provide the necessary medical care.

This is where we come in! Thanks to the quick actions of the shelter workers, a kind transporter, and the amazing work of a veterinary team, Daisy received the care she needed to get her headed in the right direction. She has injured lungs and several broken ribs, which required continuous oxygen for a day or two to support her breathing and give her lungs time to heal.
Daisy is now in an experienced temporary foster home until she can safely transport to MD.
