Butterball

Meet Butterball!

Butterball is an 8-year-old, 17- pound, male, Pekingese/Pomeranian mix that came to us from our rescue partner in GA after being relinquished by his former pet parent who had to be admitted to a nursing home. Butterball is missing ½ of his jaw but does just fine eating and drinking. We are unsure how this happened, but it does not hinder him in any way. Unfortunately, He also has two cherry eyes that need repaired, needs a dental, and will need to complete Heartworm Treatment since he is positive for the highly preventable Heartworm.

Butterball is lucky enough to be in our medical foster home with his friend Panther. We are happy to say he has lost two pounds since arriving. His foster Mom is keeping him active. She says he LOVES to go for walks and gets excited to meet new people, especially children. Butterball enjoys the company of all! Dogs, cats, kids, and adults too! He is just one happy pup! Butterball is a laid-back, mature pup, he does great in a crate and is housetrained! He also enjoys lounging on the couch with his dog friend Panther. Butterball will not be ready for adoption until mid-summer 2025, but we are taking applications in the meantime.
