Brownie

Meet Brownie!

Brownie is a senior (10 ish), 50-pound, blind Lab mix who came to us from a shelter in Kentucky. His former human Dad was incarcerated, and Brownie found himself in danger of euthanasia at the local shelter. When Brownie arrived, he was quickly evaluated by the eye specialist and is on a drop once a day. He also was seen by the cardiologist where he was diagnosed with moderate degenerative valve disease (leaky heart valve) and was prescribed a medication to help with this which he will be on the remainder of his life.

Brownie has a great temperament. He loves everyone he meets. He manages his blindness well. He does not run into things too often and learns the lay of the land quickly. He currently resides with 4 other dogs and does great! He does have occasional pee accidents, so we do use belly bands on him when he is alone. He handles them fine. Brownie would love to find a nice retirement home and family to call his own.
