Pets With Disabilities, Adoption Listing Examples You don't throw a whole life away just because it's banged up a little. (from the movie Seabiscuit) SHELTERS, HUMANE SOCIETIES, VETERINARIANS: WHEN REQUESTING WE LIST A DISABLED ANIMAL THAT NEEDS A HOME, PLEASE EMAIL PETS WITH DISABILITIES WITH AN INFORMATIVE BIO, PET'S LOCATION, PICTURE (NO HUMANS PLEASE) AND ACCURATE CONTACT INFORMATION. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED ON HOW AND WHEN THE DOG OR CAT FINDS A HOME, SO THAT WE CAN KEEP OUR SITE UPDATED. THANK YOU. Below are two examples of good adoption listings. Please note they are concise and follow the guidance above. Please do not write the listing in the first person. (My name is Rover and I am a German Shephard.) Write in the third person. (Rover is a German Shepherd. He is deaf.) Unless you are a veterinarian do not attempt to descibe a disease or medical condition. We will provide a link to a credible webpage for the disease or medical condition. Good pictures make or break an adoption listing. Dark color pets should be on a light background. Light color color pets should be on a dark background. Adoption listings should be sent to PETS WITH DISABILITIES. Never email our webmaster unless he specifically requests you do.
