Pets with Disabilities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the adoption of dogs and cats with
disabilities. As the organization continues to grow and reach/educate more
and more people, we hope to share good news and upcoming projects here with
you.
We need your support to continue our
work - the only income we have is from donations..... so, please let
one of the dogs touch your heart.

YOU to everyone that attended the Open House

It was wonderful

most importantly, it was a day to share the hope and hearts of the dogs

the memories of the day
Pets with
Disabilities is excited to
announce our rescue has been nominated as
the "Shelter of the Week" and awarded a $1000 grant PWD
will be featured for a week in July on the SPCA International website
www.spca.com
SPCA International,
through its Shelter of the Week Program, recognizes animal
organizations for the outstanding work they do to save and protect all
kinds of animals. As a national animal welfare organization this is a way
for us to also applaud the staff and volunteers of these organizations who
are on the front lines, devoting their time daily to ensure animals
receive the help they deserve through lifesaving programs and
services.
The Shelter of the Week
Program is intended to help community based animal organizations who
are working diligently to find solutions to the problems that affect
animals. SPCA International recognizes how difficult a job this can
be, therefore, we developed the Shelter of the Week Program to
provide some much needed and deserved assistance in the form of a $1,000
grant that is given to specific organizations every other week. This money
is to be used to expand existing programs and services or develop and
implement new ones.
The
MISTY ANNEX is complete!!
In the
"world" of rescue, an isolation area is critical to the safety
of our current "guests" and provides the ability to help others
that may be suffering from an injury or a contagious illness.
We are so
excited about the opening of Pets
with Disabilities
isolation building. The Misty Annex! It will allow the volunteers to spend some quality
time with the sick or injured dogs, while keeping all the other dogs safe.
Thank you to
everyone who donated to make this a reality.... please consider
donating to the
Misty
Fund
Pets
with Disabilities would like to thank the Dr Jane
HealthyPetNet Foundation, for awarding us a grant to help
purchase the building and Hank Barry of HRB Builderswww.hrb08builders.com for
donating his time and equipment in excavating the land.
